The Plaza Life Protocol
Resistance training to prevent muscle loss
The older people get, the harder it is to maintain muscle mass. Frailty is common for seniors who develop this age-related muscle loss, called sarcopenia. But with early detection and the right strength training, sarcopenia can be prevented and even reversed, along with other benefits.
Consistency
In our senior living communities, we encourage residents to integrate exercise into their daily routines, ideally performing resistance training three to four times a week.
A gradual, personalized approach
Our residents start small, do what they can, and go at their own pace.
Positive Reinforcement
Strength training and other exercise for seniors at The Plaza comes with encouragement and community support.
