Jerry Kele Smith

Food Service Director

Jerry Kele Smith is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools. He has been in the food and beverage industry for over 30 years and has worked for the hotel industy, private clubs, and local restaurants. Kele started his own small business back in 2010 catering and selling food at the Farmers Markets.

“I really wanted to make a difference in our residents’ quality of living. I want to bring “cooking with love” to our dietary program and create meals that make our residents feel as if they are home eating with their own families. I’m hoping they feel the comfort and love that we put into our preparation and cooking when eating each meal of the day.”

When Kele is not at The Plaza at Moanalua, he spends quality time with his family and pets. He also tries to fit in time to grab his board and surf.
