Uyanga Batzogs is the Activity Director for The Plaza at Kāneʻohe. She is responsible for the development and implementation of all resident recreational programs including daily activities, excursions, events, and medical transportation.
Uyanga was born and raised in Mongolia, and is currently pursuing her PhD degree at the University of Hawai’i School of Social Work. Her study focuses on Gerontology and Social Welfare. She continues to learn and seek experience in the gerontology sector, pursuing her passion to improve our kupunas’ quality of life here in Hawai’i and in her home country of Mongolia.
Prior to joining The Plaza, Uyanga was the CEO of Proliance LLC, a medical equipment distributor company in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. She also established “Quality Life” nonprofit in 2015 and launched Mongolia’s first senior center. This volunteer organization supports seniors to have active lives by socializing, and provides an opportunity for seniors to volunteer and contribute to the community. In addition, she was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Waimanalo Health Center, a non-profit community health center in Hawai`i, for 5 years. Uyanga received her Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Hawai`i in 2006.
Uyanga loves to learn new activities from all around the world and teach them to her family and friends.
