Food Service Director
Garry is the Food Service Director at The Plaza at Punchbowl. He is a graduate of Kaimuki High School and the Kapiolani Community College Food Service Program.
Garry has always had an interest in cooking and started his culinary career while in college, working at Ted’s Drive Inn and the University of Hawaii’s cafeteria. Shortly after wrapping up what was supposed to be a temporary seasonal job with The Kahala Hilton, Garry was offered a full-time position and continued to work at various hotels, restaurants and private clubs.
For the past 9 years, he has worked in Senior Living as a Chef/Food Service Manager, realizing the important role quality food and meals play in the care and well-being of residents.
Garry’s goal is to maintain the high level of products and services currently being provided by The Plaza team, while continuing to develop and progress the food service program.
