Dawn Barilla, RN
Interim Director of Nursing
Dawn Barilla joined the Plaza Pearl City when it first opened its doors in 2014 and worked as a Charge Nurse. She was promoted to Assistant Director of Nursing in 2017, where she assisted and supported the Director of Nursing. In 2019, she became the Interim Director of Nursing and now oversees the Nursing Department and provides support and training to ensure quality care for the Residents.
Dawn was born in Honolulu, but lived in New York for 28 years working as a Service Director in Documentation for a mid-size software company. In 2005, Dawn volunteered at a Hospice community and developed a desire to help and provide comfort to others, and decided to pursue her Nursing degree in New York. In addition, Dawn holds an associate degree in Massage Therapy, and B.A. in Music. Dawn enjoys building lasting bonds and positive relationships with the Residents and their families, and loves caring for the Residents.
