Food Service Director
Dana-Ellyn Cazinha has spent her life in the Hospitality Industry. Using her personal and career experiences, Dana found that food is truly the way to a person’s heart and stomach!
Born and raised in Honolulu, Dana graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy the second eldest of 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Growing up in a large family, Dana quickly became the “Mom” to her siblings, cooking for them at the young age of 8 is what eventually led her to a career in the Hospitality Industry.
Although Dana’s career stemmed from behind the scenes of a restaurant or hotel, she found she needed to learn more and decided to transition into Management. It was here at The Plaza at Pearl City, that she found a greater connection, built lasting relationships, and an opportunity to give back what she learned.
Dana’s position as the Food Service Director at The Plaza at Pearl City, allows her to connect and build relationships with the residents and staff and inspires her to create for them. It is the base for a “great” recipe.
