Food Service Director
Courtney Barry was born and raised on Oahu. He earned his Associate Degree in Culinary from Kapiolani Community College and he also earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University. He has 20 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry working in both front and back of house operations at Hilton Hawaiian Village, Outrigger Canoe Club, Hy’s Steak House, and Whole Foods Market. He has spent the last 6 years with his grandchildren, daughter, and wife in Texas; while working in San Antonio and Houston. He has worked in many different roles in the Senior Living Industry including Executive Chef, Food Services Director, and Corporate Culinary Director.
When asked why senior living he responded, ” That is where my heart is”. His compassion for seniors comes from many years of spending summers up in Chicago with his grandparents. He has passion for serving seniors and their families. He has a soft spot in his heart for the Halia Residents because his Grandmother had dementia. He looks forward to cooking delicious and nutritious meals for you and your loved ones.
