The Sales Manager is ultimately responsible for the sales activity of the community. The individual in this position takes and follows-up on inquiries, conducts community tours, and collects future residency agreements. This individual must be capable of consistently closing sales by building solid relationships with prospects. Coordinates admissions and completes admission paperwork in the absence of the Resident Relations Manager. Assists with development of and adheres to the Marketing Plan. Ultimately responsible for developing and maintaining optimal community occupancy levels in accordance with lease up goals.
Responsible for assisting Administrator and ensuring that the business office and all functions relating to the business office run smoothly. Functions include properly processing accounts payables, receivables and petty cash in coordination with the management company. Additionally, maintaining personnel files and ensuring employee requirements are maintained in accordance with Department of Health regulations and facility policies and procedures are also key functions of this position. Ability to plan, implement and problem solve areas of responsibility in coordination with the Administrator is crucial to the success of the facility.
Provides exceptional care for residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in accordance with community policies and procedures and state regulations. Responsible for implementing and evaluating resident service/care plans to ensure resident needs are met. Responsible for coordinating and supervising care staff on shift. The Director of Nursing and Administrator are ultimately responsible for all final hiring and termination decisions. The employee is expected to perform within the scope of his/her license. Reports directly to the Director of Nursing regarding nursing or health care issues (reports directly to Administrator if Director of Nursing is on vacation or other leave).
Responsible for providing direct resident care including daily bathing, dressing, personal hygiene assistance and medication reminding to residents in accordance with Resident Service Plans and as directed by Director of Nursing Services and nursing staff. Take and document resident vital signs as per Resident Service Plan. Assist residents to get ready for appointments. Reports concerns regarding resident to Director of Nursing Services, Administrator (or LPN on shift in absence of Director of Nursing Services and Administrator). Provides appropriate documentation regarding resident in accordance with policies and procedures and DSHS regulations.
Provides assistance in all dining services functions under the supervision of Food Services Director in accordance with facility policies and procedures and federal, state and local guidelines. Performs dishwashing and cleaning duties. May assist with food preparation and serving duties as directed by Food Services Director or Cook.
Responsible for assisting Administration and ensuring that the front desk and all functions relating to the front desk run smoothly. Functions include answering phones with proper greeting, appropriately routing calls and taking messages. Assist residents with questions and assist with reservations for guest meals and use of guest dining room. Assist visitors to sign in and out and appropriately direct them where to go. Appropriately use fax and computer. Assist with paperwork and filing. Ability to plan, implement and problem solve areas of responsibility in coordination with Administration is crucial to the success of the community.

Ensures resident and staff comfort through implementation of a consistent, preventative maintenance program schedule in accordance with community policies and procedures. Contacts appropriate vendors to provide routine community maintenance and effective repairs. Ensures community grounds are attractively maintained. Provides hands on maintenance to community as appropriate. Oversees community safety program and implements MSDS program on all chemicals used by community. Conducts fire drills consistently in accordance with regulations.

Responsible for serving resident meals and attending to resident needs during meals in accordance with policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Responsible for planning, implementing and supervising resident care department. Interviews, hires, supervises, evaluates and counsels resident care staff. Conducts regular on-going care staff meetings and in-services. Establishes time schedules (or delegates this responsibility to a capable staff member) for resident care staff on each shift and in accordance with budget. Assigns and delegates responsibilities to resident care staff for residents, based on the qualifications of the staff and needs of the residents. Ensures each resident receives services/care as per Resident Service Plan and in accordance with federal and state regulations and facility policies and procedures. Assures prompt, appropriate action in cases of injury, illness, fire or other emergencies. Performs assessment (or delegates this responsibility to a capable staff member) in coordination with Administrator and marketing staff members on each resident prior to admission to determine if prospective resident’s care needs can be appropriately met by the facility. Assigns resident to appropriate level of care and ensures that resident is re-assessed within timelines established by regulation and facility policy. Ensures physician and family members are apprised of changes in resident’s condition and that family/resident representative care conferences are held consistently. Keeps department within established budget. Ultimately responsible for ensuring care department compliance with state and federal laws and facility policies and procedures.
